Covid - Safe Policy
Aviva Singing Studio adheres to the following safety plan to ensure safety for all staff and students and to be able to continue operating.
In-person lessons can proceed as long as all students are registered on the student portal for contact tracing and their lessons are in the calendar. There are a few conditions:
-
Students and teachers are requested to stay away for two weeks (or until a negative test result has been obtained) if showing symptoms of Covid-19 such as:
- Dry cough
- High temperature
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain or pressure
-
If a student or teacher has visited any declared Covid hot-spots, they must stay away for two weeks. Or obtain a negative test.
-
Online lessons will be offered at a mutually suitable time in the meantime if suitable notice is given for cancellation of lessons. Please note that last minute cancellations or “no shows” will forfeit their lesson fee without a make up lesson.
-
If you have visited social contacts who are waiting on Covid-19 test results or have been tested positive with Covid, please let me know as soon as possible.
-
If you have been tested, it is vital to self-isolate for the days or weeks leading up to the test
results. If tested positive, please inform the studio and self-isolate for another 14 days.

Prolonged singing should be performed at a minimum distance of 2 metres
-
Close physical interaction should be short and only when necessary.
